In 2013, Seo Taiji announced that he had been working on a new album. In December of that year, he claimed that it will be released in 2014.
The first single from the new album, Sogyeokdong, was released in October of 2014. The single was released in two parts: first part, a collaboration with IU, was released October 2, and the second part on October 10.
